reply to buick's comment.
Gave a thought to what shijin said.
Situation:
Freshies self-intro.
Senior: Let's play ice breaking game.
Senior: Next up, what's your name and which school are you from and your hobbies.
Me: Zhen Jie from DCNT.
Crowd: HUH??? Again.
Me: Zhen Jie from DCNT
Crowd: Zhen what?
Me: JIEEE!
This is just one of the situations.
It's rather irritating actually.
Then some will ask me if I have a Christian name. And I will be like DUH! If I have a Christian name, why do I tell you my Chinese name!?!?!?
While some others will offer to give me a Christian name, like the GEMS teacher from example, to her, my name is Sharon. And Mr. Coach gave me an even more interesting name. Errr or I should say more than one? I had a name, Cutie, which I find it rather gross, now Mr. Coach gave me two new names! Sometimes he will call me Orange and some other time he will call me "My Pet". Strange eh? Cause he said that I am his pet!?!?!?
Hmmm, maybe I should really get myself a Christian name.
Eeehhhhh......
Eeeeeeeeee.....
Eeeerrrmmm...
So from now on, starting from this very moment, I will introduce myself as Alvina when I were to do a self-intro. So I will give it a try next time round. =P
This name has been with me since primary four but I never really put it into use it cause I feel that there isn't a need.
For those of you who know me as my Chinese name, please continue to address me as Zhen Jie. Or ZhenJieJie, xiao zhen or whatever. Hurhur. Cause I am proud of my Chinese name. it was my parents who gave it to my and of course there is a meaning to it! =D
Just to sidetrack a bit, I am freaking sick of somebody with her sickening bloody atittude. Calling others then said never mind le. It's damn irriating. I don't care if you are going to read this but I feel that we are drifting apart. You have changed. The gap between us is like an ocean wide.
Fine I don't know what the situation was like just now, but when kok kok told me you said that we wouldn't be interested, a thought then came into my head.
I don't know if you intended it, but what the sentense tells me is "oh, they are not into the music thingy, therefore they wouldn't be interested." It's as though you feel that we are in a different class from you. Well yeah, except for kok kok who learnt flute before neither me or ah zhou have any music background except for learning recorder in primary school.
But HEY, we will go to your concert because of the golden word "FRIENDSHIP".
What are friends, I am not sure about your defination, but to me, friends are someone who will support you in whatever things you do. Friends are someone who will always be there for you no matter you do. Friends will ting each other no matter what.
Just like when ah zhou went into the beauty thingy, though we knows nothing about it, we still gave her encouragment. When you had the family concert, we know nothing either but we went just to lend you our support.
Why does one ask their friends to go to see them when they enters a certain competition? Why does one need support? It's in hope that their friends boost their confidence.
But in this case, I doubt we three means anything to you.
And fine, thanks, CANON in D and if you insist, "ya, you never change, you are the perfect same old ardorable chua xiang xiang." Happy?
Hopefully I am making sense to you. =}
