Kind of worried now. With my present GPA I doubt I can get anywhere. Shit! And I can only sit here and do nothing about it. Even if I were to score 4 full credit points for my next semester, I still wouldn’t be able to pull up to 3.5. But of course I will strive for the last semester la!

I was telling Yuan Han I read it off from some blog some time ago, saying some elite students described students from neighboring secondary school and students that are not in the top five JCs as the dilutor of the society.

Wooh, that’s kind of mean of them, but those elites have got to get some facts into their brilliant brain.

If everyone is a top student, Singapore is not going to progress as a whole. It will be a society unbalance and it wouldn’t get Singapore to progress as a nation. Everyone will be some top executives, CEO or whatever and who is going to do the “low end” jobs? It’s the so-called dilutor of the society that holds the most important jobs, not the CEO. Do you think Donald Trump can become a billionaire without his workers?

And let’s not forget, elites might have the possibilities of working under the so-called society dilutors. People like Sim Wong Hoo, CEO of Creative Technology, was not from the top five JCs either but he created an empire whereby even the top notch elites have to work under him! And not to mention he is just graduate from Ngee Ann POLYTECHNIC and not some reputable junior college!

Face it! Without the “society dilutor”, there wouldn’t be elites. It’s a nature interlock chain. The rich relies on the poor to be rich. Without the poor, there wouldn’t be rich. The same logic and theory applies. Let’s take something more related to our daily context and make it simpler. Without the fans/viewers, do you think there is a need for the celebrities/stars/ entertainers to exist?

So eat humble pie, elitist *tutu* and watch your mouth! Who knows one day you JUST might work for those bunch of people whom you labeled as society dilutor!

This is like the only rare subject that Yuan Han and I share the same thought.
